DIY Inspirational watercolor cards. Quarantine crafts with Jasmin, #3 *Smiles*

Hey Hey girlies, how are you? I’m doing pretty good! Today I am back with a much anticipated post: (or so I think anyways) My watercolor cards!! These cards are super easy to make and they’re great to stick in letters, cards, journals and everything in between! During quarantine I’ve been pen-paling quite a lot with my friends and so I’ve been sending these in my envelopes and I think they are really cute little add-ins! I found my inspiration for these on Pinterest and Etsy, I would look up christian stickers or even just inspirational stickers and then paint and draw them onto cards and kaboom: Lovely inspirational watercolor cards! Anyways, I’m sure you would like to see some photos, so here they are!

I love this song and this ended up being one of my favorite cards ❤

These are the medias I used while painting, some regular water color, some water based ink brush pens and some Prismacolor calligraphy pens 🙂

These are the notecards I use, I was gifted them for Christmas a couple years ago and decided to use them, which was a good idea because I had SO MUCH fun making all my cards! Sometimes if I wanted smaller pieces of paper, I will cut the pieces into half or whatever size I want and it works wonderfully 😉

This is the first card I made last week and it’s definitely one of my favorites! I just love how it turned out and I can’t wait to stick it in a letter and send it to a friend! ❤️

Oooohh another favorite 😉 I don’t know why I sound surprised or whatever because I literally just uploaded this photo but I love how this card came out! The Bible verse is lovely and I love the yellow sunshine, it gives me happy vibes 💛

And here are all the ones I did last Sunday! I didn’t do quite as many as I still have quite a few from last time but I really love how these turned out!

Anyways, thats all for today! What is your favorite card? Will you try making some of these? I would recommend it, they’re so fun 🙂 What’s you favorite art medium to create with? I hope you enjoyed and thanks x million for reading, I appreciate it more than you know! Drop a comment, I love to chat ❤️

xx, Jasmin

  2. These are so lovely Jasmin! This is exactly what I did tonight- just painted. Went over to pinterest and found this pretty watercolour flower tutorial and followed that.. loosely! But it turned out quite pretty and only took me four hours, haha!

  4. I love your Inspirational watercolor cards!! Last week I tried doing some(after you published your March 2020 post with some of your cards) and it was a lot of fun to do(thanks for the idea)!! I made some with my sister and we blasted some religious music to keep us inspired and motivated. I love how your cards have Bible quotes(when I made the cards, I also put Bible quotes) or just positive messages. My favorite one this time around is the one that says”Made worthy” with the vase with flowers in it. It’s beautiful!;)

    1. Awww thank you so much! Ahh thats so cool! That’s what I did with my sister, set up our paint, blasted some music, and went to work painting! Thank you, me too! I love hanging them up around my room, my hope is that I will eventually memorize all the Bible verses from seeing them 24/7! Aww thanks, I loved how that one came out! ❤️

  5. Those are so pretty!! You are a great artist; MUCH better than I am. I can barely draw an acceptable stick figure, much less watercolor. 🙂 I enjoy looking at other people’s projects, though! ❤ How have you been doing?

    1. awww thank you 💕 I’m sure you’re a great artist though! I also love looking at other people’s artwork, it’s so fun! I’ve been doing well, I haven’t seen my friends recently bc of quarantine so I’m really missing them but I’ve been good! How have you been? ❤️

      1. 😉 I’ve been doing pretty well, thanks!! It’s hard to be in one house with seven other people 24/7 sometimes, and occasionally I feel like pulling my hair out just from the stress of it all, but we’re surviving. XD I just really hope the lockdown gets lifted SOON!!
