April 2020. and yes, this is three days late, I’m sorry. *twirls*

Hello Beautiful people. How are you? I’m doing good! I am not the wisest so for the whole month of April, I thought the month had 31 days. So I was waiting to do my monthly wrap up and then before I knew it, it was May 😂 So here’s my monthly wrap-up. 3 days late. But it’s fine. I’m going to try a new approach to my monthly update, and I’m going to do my top 10 favorites of the month! Let me know how you like it! Our stay-at-home-order got extended until MAY 31ST. I’m not happy but praying that God helps me accept staying home for another month and that the corona situation dies down. Anyways, onto my top ten favorites of April! They’re not listed in any certain way, I like them all the same. Well mainly anyways 😉

  1. The tulip fields:

We went to some local tulip fields and it was so fun! We went to Safeway and got ice cream, and then we went the tulip fields and walked around, picked flowers, and took a ton of cute photos. After the fields we went to the dollar store and bought ice-cream and chips and then we went and sat at the local lake and watched the water while we ate our snacks. It was a highlight of my month, we also went way over the top and got dressed up in pretty summer dresses and sandals and it was amazing. 10/10 recommend.

SO PRETTY.

2. Journaling:

Since lockdown, I’ve had quite a bit of extra time so what better to work on than journaling?! I have a big announcement: I FINISHED MY FIRST BUJO!! I’ve been doing little daily spreads and journaling daily and it’s so nice. And I filled up my whole first bujo! Which makes me feel so accomplished, finishing a bullet journal takes me forever usually 😂 So I’ve now started my second bullet journal, so would you guys like an updated bullet journal tour? I would love to do one 😉

I like it 🙂

3. Writing letters:

I’ve been loving writing letters to all my friends and pen-pals. Getting stuff in the mail has been even more special now because I can’t see my friends and getting letters from them all make me so happy. I’ve also been enjoying making cute letters, adding cute little extras and such into them 🙂 It’s been a lot of fun though.

enjoying the sun 🙂

4. Apples with peanut butter and chocolate chips:

This has been my go to snack, IT IS SO GOOD. I absolutely love it. My sister was eating it one day and I decided to try it and I love it. It’s relatively healthy, as long as you go easy on the chocolate chips 😉 I just said I love it like 4 times, take my word, it’s delicious.

YUMMMMM.

5. Our happy place:

My sister and I have been bored and we’ve also been wanting to make a cute, cozy letter writing area. So we were asking our parents where we could create our space and our final decision was the attic! We found an old sheet in the attic, hung it up, added some fairy lights for aesthetic-ness and shoved a truck over there for our “desk”. We also found a little mirror and hung up some cute signs we had and overall I think it turned out adorable! Anyways, we’ve been going up there and eating candy and writing letters, it’s quite cozy and fun 🙂

Cute amiright?!

6. I signed up for drivers ed!!

I wanted to go to an actual class drivers ed but because of the whole corona situation, in person classes are canceled and instead, there’s zoom classes. My parents really wanted me to sign up for the zoom classes because we live far out and they didn’t want to drive me/with me into town 3 times a week and I finally consented because I want to learn how to drive. I’m partially terrified but I’m also super excited to get my permit and get on the roads. I’ll be safe, I promise 🙂

7. Phase ten is pretty awesome and fun or so I decided.

Being at home all the time has gave my siblings and I plenty of time to play some card games and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Phase ten is one of my favorites and also Liar is pretty fun. What’s you favorite card game?

I’m pretty sure I won this game ;))

8. NOT A HIGHLIGHT but we sold my pony, ginger.

I’ve had Ginger for a while but high school began taking up more of my time and I made the decision that I wanted to focus more on softball so last fall we decided to sell Ginger. My wonderful neighbor who taught me to ride helped find a good home for her and I think she’ll be happy and healthy there.

She’s so cute right?

9. Wonderful weather:

During quarantine, we’ve had an amazing blessing: The weather has been so lovely. We’ve still had our rainy days but most of the weather has been sunshine-y and perfect and I LOVE IT.

Life is made of the moments like this: Sun, the wind and music blaring ❤

10. Whipped coffee

ahhhhh a classic for quarantine. I’ve now made whipped coffee four times and when I tweak the recipe a bit, it comes out perfect. For some reason it hasn’t wanted to whip so I’m a bit mystified by that but its still good. This coffee in the picture was meant to be whipped but didn’t exactly come out like that :/ It was so good tho ❤️

YUM YUM

And there you have it!

My top ten highlights of April! All in all it was a pretty good month. Sure, quarantine bummed me out but I feel that I made the most of it and I’ve been enjoying it. How are you? Do you like this new “format”? How was April for you? Talk to me in the comments, it makes me happy 🙂 <3333

xx, Jasmin 💕

  3. Such an awesome post!! I will have to try the apple slices with chocolate chips and peanut butter. I love all of those foods separately so it should work out, right? Ginger is so pretty… I’m sorry you don’t have her anymore. I’ve never actually learned to ride but I really enjoy going on trail rides. I guess one time I somehow convinced my step-grandparents to let me herd cattle while riding a horse. Don’t know how I did that, but it was irrigating season and the mosquito were horrendous. Haha, anyways, I really like reading this post!

  7. Very interesting post Jasmin! Glad to see your month was mostly good! Drivers ed sounds fun. I should be taking driving lessons at the moment too but with Corona that plan was chucked out the window. Frustrating, but we’ll all get there.

That flower field looks absolutely gorgeous! I’ve been wondering lately if there’s one in Sydney so i can take similar photos. Just so dreamy. Love your bullet journal also. Congratulations on finishing off one!

i live in california, so there’s different rumors around how long our order is going to be extended. but i’m pretty sure we’ll be at home till mid-tune, which is really going to suck.
dude the whipped coffee looks sooo good!! did it take a super long time to whip up? I heard it takes forever. anyways i would loveee to see your bujo!! i’m sure it looks so cute!

IT ISSS GIRL TRY IT ❤️ It didn’t take that long for me to whip, maybe two minutes at the most? I did use an electric mixer though.
Awww Okie! I think I will do an updated bujo post!
Haha thanks for the comment, it makes me so happy to get new comments, especially if their long 😉💕

  9. stay at home order got extended until may 10th for now, but i won’t be surprised if we have to stay home until june. brazil has been CHAOTIC lately. i’ve seen so many people not respecting lockdown orders and i’m so annoyed. but considering not even our president is respecting quarantine, i don’t know what to expect. (he also answered: “so what?” when questioned about the over 5,000 deaths of the past month. it’s *that* bad. i am sorry for going on this unnecessary rant, but i’ve been stressed, lol).

the tulip field looks beautiful! i wish where i live we had more of those outdoor places i could go to during this time. but sadly, there aren’t many options, apart from parks, that have been closed. i’d never wished i lived close to nature, but during this time, it must have been amazing.

mail has not been working the best here (not that it worked before, lol) since lockdown started, but i’m glad you’ve been keeping up with your friends through letters! i love sending letters. it’s so special and thoughtful! i’m sure they’re loving getting them too.

it’s so cool you’re still having zoom classes for drivers ed, though! i was planning to sing up before everything went down, but unfortunately, they do not offer online classes, so the plans have been on pause. it’s great because when lockdown ends, you’ll be ahead and ready to drive soon. that’s pretty exciting!

i love how positive and up-beat this post was! i’ve been struggling with seeing the positive in my days lately, but this inspired me. thank you so much for sharing, jasmin!

    1. I’m so sorry!! Yes, same. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re until lockdown until the end of summer. It’s so annoying and I partially am annoyed at the government, because personally I don’t think if we all stay home the virus is just gonna disappear of the earth. It’s a tough situation. Man, I’m sorry about your president! Ahh the whole world is chaotic rn, it’s a mess but I’m hanging in. No need to apologize, you can rant in my comments whenever you need it 🙂
They were lovely, I was so excited to go because I needed out of the house! I wish we could still go parks, all ours are shut down. Nature is amazing right now! One thing quarantine is teaching me is that it really is the small things ❤️
Ah that sucks! Yes, me too! Without my friends and letters from them I would be feeling quite down right now.
IT IS!! I’m excited! Although I wish I could get my learners permit, unfortunately you can’t right now. So who knows when that will happen but oh welp 🙂 I’ll pray that the situation slows down over there!
Awww thank you, that means a lot! I’ve been down in the dumps too but trying to look on the bright side 😉 Thank you so much for your comment, I loved it. truly. ❤️

  10. Hi, Jasmin!! (I commented earlier, but WordPress has been acting up some on me lately and so I don’t think it got through.) I’m glad you had a great April!! I had a good one as well. The lockdown here is gradually being lifted; I’m so sorry it’s not the same case where you are but I am praying that SOON everywhere the lockdown will be lifted.

That’s super exciting that you finished your bullet journal! Yes, I would LOVE it if you posted an updated bullet journal tour! ❤ ❤ Those posts are always so much fun!

That's so epic that you're learning how to drive!! Of course, I'm a couple years away from that stage, but I know that I would be partially scared too. Scared and excited! 😉 I'll be praying for you as you're learning! ❤

I've never heard of Phase Ten or Liar, but I will definitely have to check those out! 🙂 Some of my favorite card games are Uno and Set.

Have an awesome day!! ❤ ❤

  14. Loved this! ✨ Sounds like you had a great month, the tulip field looks gorgeous (I don’t know if there is one where I live but when this is all over I’m hoping to go to a lavender farm nearby 💜). Congrats on finishing your first bujo! That must be fun to flick through 💫 I wish I could write letters to my friends/penpal but I can’t get out to post it 😂 Okay now I want to try apples with peanut butter and chocolate chips, sounds like quite the combination 🙌 Your letter writing space looks so cute and cozy! Sorry to hear about Ginger, we had to re-home my dog Alex 2 years ago and it was so tough but she has a better life for it. The weather has been up and down here in Ireland, with a lot of sun but this time round I’ve been enjoying the rain when it has its turn for some reason (although I get annoyed about how it stops me from going for walks 😂). Hope your May is amazing! Great post 💕

Awww thanks, I love our cozy spot!
Aw I’m sorry about your dog, but that’s good that She had a better life because of it, I’m hoping for that for Ginger. Haha yeah, rain can be so annoying when it cancels your plans!
