My life lately. June and July update! *twirls in the sunshine*

spontaneous runs through parks are the best, are they not?

Hello beautiful people! How are you on this fine day? I’m doing quite good, today was a good day for me 🙂 Don’t you love those kind of days? I do :))

Anyways, todays post is going to be a chatty rambling post about, well, my life lately. I feel like everyone’s lives have been a bit crazy and un-normal and mines been the same. I’ve kind of gotten back into a schedule but its definitely different.

I’ve been hanging out with friends a lot, almost to much and it feels like I’ve been SO. busy. Which, don’t get me wrong is ah-mazing, but it leaves me feeling worn out and exhausted. My introvert part of my ambivert personality begins to shine through 😉

watching the sunset from the back of a truck is an amazing thing, you should try it someday.

I’ve realized that I really love spontaneous-ness. I don’t know if that is a word but I love it. I’m currently really into the “be in the moment, don’t let the small things matter, remember the good vibes, etc.” stuff right now.

photo credits to yours truly :)))

Pretty dresses with long grassy fields and Pinterest photo ideas is always a fun time. I wanted to have a photoshoot so my sister was kind and let me photograph her! I adore how the photos turned out, the boho vibes make me happy 🙂

Carrot cake= a gift from God. Needless to say it was delicious 🙂

A spontaneous drive with no real destination and only a goal of getting some cute pictures was one of my favorite experiences in June. We had a minor mishap later on that drive but we won’t talk about it ;). It’s all good.

Quotes. Sometimes at night I like to just look at Pinterest and find quotes that say things that I would say but I can’t put it as right. This quote above is so simple and basic yet so profound to me, I absolutely love it. If you have any amazing quotes you want to share, let me know in the comments, I absolutely love quotes and poems and such.

Tucker boy and his big grins 😍 They make me so happy *heart eyes x a million* He’s now starting to smile more and it’s the sweetest thing ever. Tucker’s doing good, he’s growing and gaining quickly, he now weighs almost 10 pounds!

Gathering around a campfire and playing games or even just visiting is such a underrated thing. I could do it every night. Especially if there’s Reeses cups s’mores 😁 Those things are literally the best, if you haven’t tried it, please do. Unless of course you’re allergic to peanuts or other ingredients. But if not- 😁

living the life.

A hammock=one of the best inventions ever!!

Iced coffee= deliciousness in a cup

sunny weather with a slight breeze=actual heaven

This life is a blessing guys 🤩

when you go to the post office and you get 5 letters AND an amazon package. Y’all I’m blessed. I was beaming all day and I spent a 30 minute car ride opening mail. THE WHOLE RIDE. It was so cool 😁

I wasted $6 on a coffe. But was it worth. it? Oh yeah 😁 Plus, memories were made and we got to mark it off our bucket list so boo-yah! okay that was cringe, forget I said that please.

I also finished drivers ed and next week (hopefully) I’ll be off to get my permit! I cant wait and prayers that I’m a good driver would be appreciated 😁

And that is all for this post! How was your June and how is you July going? Have you ever tried a Reeses cup s’more? Any quotes for me? Are spontaneous outings a yes or a no go for you? Talk to me in the comments, I’d love to chat! ❤️

  1. Wow, a Reese’s cup s’mores is a new one for me! No I haven’t tried it but, I love how quirky it sounds so I need to give that a go before the summer ends;) 👍
Tucker is adorable and how is he doing these days? My June and July were pretty crazy but fun months! My computer broke down( which is the explanation for my disappearance)but, in a way it was good break for me. I mean that a good break from blogging or reading amazing posts like yours( because I missed this Soooo much) but, a bit of a detox from being online all the time.
It’s always great to hear how your doing and hope your doing AMAZING!! 🙂

  3. That iced coffee looks fabulous and is definitely heaven in a cup ☺️ Sounds like you’ve had a wonderful June & July so far! Spontaneous definitely sounds wonderful but I have to admit I’m more of an all-things-must-be-planned girl but I’ve learnt to accept that that’s just who I am ❤️ Watching the sunset from the back of a truck sounds amazing though!! Count me in 😂 So glad you got to spend time with your friends lots and that carrot cake… my mouth is watering 😌 Have a wonderful July! 🥰

Haha that’s fine, be who u areee 💓 I probably lean more towards spontaneous but some things have to be planned out, I like knowing the details 😉

Awh thank you! That’s amazing, you would have been so proud of me: the other day I SPONTANEOUSLY watched the sunset with my friends, and it wasn’t planned 😂 I agree! For sure ❤️ Is four of July Independence Day? I’m not American sorry! 😟

It was so beautiful!! Honestly gorgeous and really put things into perspective for me about how all the little things that I’ve been overthinking about really don’t matter as much as I thought they did. That sounds lovely, did you have a nice time?
Oh thank you so much for telling me haha ☺️

      3. Awh! It definitely was 💓 We’ve planned to all go on Friday (I can’t be spontaneous, it just isn’t in me 😂) so I’m very excited!
Hikes can be so tiring, the view is usually always worth it though! ❤️

  4. Fun post! Carrot cake is so yummy 😜 and so is coffee. I am obsessed with quotes too. One of my favorite ones is “asking for help isn’t giving up, it’s refusing to give up.” Have a great rest of your day!

    1. Thank you! It is! I haven’t made it for a while but I want to start making it more because it’s actually really easy!
Aww that is an amazing quote! For some reason it reminds me of “I stopped venting and started praying because I don’t need sympathy, I need strength”
      Thank you, you too! ❤️

I should be getting mine soon but still haven’t studied yet oopsss. So scared to get on the road so pray for me too!

  7. Love ramble posts like this. Carrot cake IS a gift from God and I am going to make it soon. However the lemons in our fruit basket say otherwise haha. Ooh so you’ll be able to drive this time next week? How exciting. Loving your blog at the moment, especially with all the cute photos 🙂 x

    1. Aww me too! I AGREE. It is so good and actually pretty simple and easy to make! I love how moist it is 😍 Ooo lemon bars are good too though?! 😂 Let me know how your baking goes?
And yes! I should hopefully be driving soon! I’m so excited and can’t wait 🙂
Thank you so much, your support means the world! ❤️

      1. The baking went really well, actually! There’s only half of the cake left hehe. What’s the legal age to drive where you live? I forget, are you Canadian or American? (or perhaps you’re neither and I’ve got it all wrong haha)

        Liked by 1 person

      2. Aww I’m glad! Haha well that shows that it was a good cake 😉
Well, the legal age to get your license is 16, and it varies between states for when you can get your permit, but it’s usually 14-15.
I’m American and haha no worries, I can’t remember where half my family lives so you’re doing good 💓

        Liked by 1 person

      3. Wow! That’s very young. In the UK you can apply for a license from 15 years and 9 months (I know, specific) but only start driving on the road at 17. I love learning how different countries do it! x

      4. It is cool! Great Britain has terrible roots, and our economy is built on the most awful means of trade. However, America is too I suppose. Not the Natives of course, but the stupid Europeans who thought they were better than everyone else. In some cases, still do! Now I’m white British, but that doesn’t exclude me from being able to make change. If everyone plays their part we can put an end to racism. Oh wow, what a tangent. Sorry, I did say I ramble about things no-one is interested in. My apologies! x

    1. Aww I’m glad! Yay, I’m glad I’m not the only one 🙂 Ahh I can definitely relate, I missed the opportunity for spontaneous-ness during quarantine, it was so sad!
YESSS me too, I love finding quotes that say something that I couldn’t put into words ❤️

  9. Lovely post, Jasmin!! The pictures were amazing, and I loved reading and seeing what you had been doing lately. 😊
I’ve been doing fine, thanks! I’m glad you hear that you’ve been doing well. Yess, I LOVE runs in the park as well; it just feels so good to get out there and run as fast as you can for a while….for some reason it just makes me feel glad to be alive and be able to enjoy the beautiful nature around me and breathe in the fresh air! 😀 We used to live in Alabama, and there was a really nice park near our house that had lots of large fields, and those were great for running and playing in. Someday I want to go back and visit those!
We’ve been seeing a few friends, but since we recently moved we haven’t made that many yet. I can totally get that feeling of being a bit tired after hanging out with people!! 😜 I’m more of an introvert myself (though I’m extroverted when I’m around people I know super well). Social life can definitely get tiring sometimes!
I’m putting watching a sunset from the back of a truck on my bucket list now! 😉 That seems really relaxing right now, especially with all of the tension from COVID-19 and other stuff. Is your quarantine being lifted yet or has it been extended? The judge here for our county extended the quarantine, and now we have to wear masks in public places through the end of August!!!! 😧 It’s really getting crazy around here.
That photoshoot with your sister was lovely! And that carrot cake looks amazing!! Carrot cake is one of my dad’s favorite desserts, so we always have it for his birthday, which has become a really fun tradition. My mom makes it and then puts homemade cream cheese frosting on top: YUM!!!
What a wonderful quote; I know, it’s so simple yet so meaningful and deep…those are always my favorite kind!
Wow: Tucker is absolutely ADORABLE!!!!!! 😍😍😍 He’s a big boy, too; 10 pounds, wow!! His smile is so sweet, and I love his chubby little hands! It makes me think of when my youngest sister, Priscilla (who’s turning two next month, which I can’t believe) was that little. I still wish sometimes that she was still that small! 😜
I have actually never tried a Reese’s cup s’mores, but now I definitely want to!! Reese’s cups are my favorite candy. Have you ever tried the dark chocolate Reese’s cups? I personally like dark chocolate better than milk chocolate, so I thought they were delectable!!! Not too dark; it wasn’t bitter, but just more of a darker taste. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to reconcile myself to eat a milk chocolate cup again! 😂 And I can’t forget that iced coffee. (That hammock looks super comfortable as well; I’ve always wanted to have one hung in our back yard but we don’t have enough trees. 😕) Unfortunately, neither of my parents drink coffee, so I rarely get it except when my coffee-drinking grandparents, but I suppose that makes it more of a treat! When I saw one of my grandmothers last, she took us to Starbucks and I got my first frappuccino!! Words could not have described it; I was in seventh heaven. 😆 And it IS a wonderful day when you get five letters and an Amazon package; I truly call that perfection! 😉
Congratulations on finishing your driver’s ed; that’s HUGE!!! I will definitely be praying for you as you begin to drive more; I can imagine how that would be scary but fun at the same time! Hope getting the driver’s permit goes well!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Awww Thank you Esther! and yesss a long comment, I love it 🤩
I’m glad you’ve been doing well! Running is therapeutic for some people, not me though 😂 I can enjoy it but definitely not as much as some people! I can definitely see how it could make you feel alive, I love things that do that 🙂 Oooh the park in Alabama sounds lovely, hopefully you can visit there sometime again!
Glad you have been able to see more friends! No, sadly our governor is very strict and so we kind of are still in lockdown. I live in a town full of red neck country people though so no ones really listening to lockdown anymore 😉 Which I’m extremely grateful for because I was going crazy! I definitely get feeling drained after hanging with certain people for a while and yessss I love when you get extroverted around certain people, I’m the same way!
YES. DO IT. It was so gorgeous and calming and wonderful 🤩
I’m sorry about having to wear masks! I hate masks, they’re so difficult to breathe through and it seems that there’s a lot of information about how they aren’t even helpful. I don’t know. We also have the statewide mask rule thing but as of last time I went to town it wasn’t being enforced to much? Hoping it stays that way 🤞🏼
Thank you! I was pleased with how the photos turned out and the carrot cake was SO GOOD! My dad loves it too, so I made it for fathers day 🙂 Yummm cream cheese frosting is the best!
Isn’t that quote amazing? I love it so much 🙂
aww man, I’m glad you got to try a “frappe” though, they make your life better ;)) Coffee is so good and YESSSS hammocks are amazing! My mom actually just bought a metal stand for ours so we just hang it on there and its super nice because we don’t have trees close to our house either 🙂
I don’t believe I’ve tried the Reeses dark chocolate cups, i’ll have to look for them! They sound delicious :)) I love milk chocolate so much, dark is usually too bitter for me 🤷🏼‍♀️
yes yes yes mail is the best thing in the whole entire world and you can’t convince me otherwise. 😂
Thank you! I’ve been practicing in. our field, (wow i’m such a red neck country kid haha) but I’m definitely getting more comfortable! Thank you!
      You too! ❤️

      1. Loved reading your reply!! 😊 Yeah, running used to be really tiring and sort of boring even for me, but I’ve grown to enjoy it more now.
That’s too bad that your governor is strict, but I’m glad that people aren’t really listening!! Yeah, I definitely agree; masks are just HORRIBLE to wear, and I’ve seen videos and other medical articles that say that they’re really not healthy or helpful to wear. I even heard of one case where this guy wore a mask for hours without taking it off, and as a result of not getting enough oxygen and breathing in carbon dioxide for too long, when he was driving he passed out and his car crashed. 😧
That’s so cool; I had never heard of a stand to hang hammocks on! I’ll have to look into that. 😉 That’s great that you’ve been able to practice driving in fields!! We don’t live near any fields or anything like that, so I guess I’ll just have to practice on quiet roads when I start learning. To be honest I’m sort of scared, though, since where I live it’s pretty busy on the roads all the time, but I suppose I’ll get used to it. Thankfully there’s still a few years left ahead of me! 😂

        That’s cool!
Yeah, it kind of disappointing with our governor and all but I’m glad ppl arrant super worried about it all. Woah that’s crazy about the man with the mask!
Yeah, they’re super nice, def look into it!
Ahh gotcha, yeah driving is super stressful at first but it gets better! And it’s a lot of fun once you get used to it! ❤️

  10. Awww! Great post; I definitely agree with you on ALL of these loves. And lol, I can relate to wasting $6 on coffee. That stuff can be delicious but very overpriced. You’re so lucky to have so many dedicated pen pals! I try to be diligent about sending mail to my friends out of state but unfortunately they are not quite as dedicated as your friends:)

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Awww thanks girl ❤️ Haha coffee is so good but SO EXPENSIVE especially if you like frappe chinos like me 🤦🏼‍♀️
Aww I am! It’s hard to find dedicated pen-pals but when you do you have to be sure to stay on top of it and be super duper dedicated back ❤️ I hope you find some really dedicated penpals soon! 💕

  11. One of my favorites… you’ve probably already heard it though. 😉 “I have not failed. I’ve just found ten thousand ways that won’t work.” Not very original, I know. : ) Sunsets are soooo nice. Our life has been PRETTY crazy. My dad has been roofing our house and for the next three days we’re supposed to go to the Goddard reunion. Overall though… it’s good ; ) I mean… we’re getting our house built!!! I’m sure you’ll be a great driver and you have my prayers.

    1. Haha I love that 😂 I’ve heard it before I think but it was a good refresher 😉
They areeeee, I love watching the sunsets! Same same, life is crazy. Have fun at the reunion, wish I could be there! Congrats on your house, that’s so cool! Thank you 🙂
