Moments and memories: 1/12 *cue the good times*

Hello Lovelies! I think I need an award for latest monthly wrap up but oh well, at least I’m getting to it.

I apologize for not posting more, I have so many ideas but evrytime I sit down at my computer to write, boom. All the ideas flurry away and I’m left with a blank and un-motivated mind. This blog isn’t something I want to force myself to do though, so I’m trying not to pressure myself into writing/posting when I’m not feeling up to it mentally. So I hope to soon be posting more routinely, but for now I’m trying my best to just get what I can out and posted and I hope you will stick around! Thank you so much for reading my little rant, now let me actually continue on with this post, a little wrap up of January 2021!

I’m going to change up my monthly wrap up a little, making it a bit simpler. I’m going to state some of my favorite memories and then add 15-20 pictures to my post as hopefully a way to help me look back in upcoming years and help me remember the good of the years! Anyways let’s get onto it!

Memories of January:

  • Hung out with my neighbors, aka some of my best friends, a TONNN. I seen them everyday of the week for a point this month and it was a complete blast. I think we’re unhealthily weird and random but that’s part of the fun xD Some of my favorite memories with them are wearing drippy hats, making coffees, and screaming ‘Train Wreck’ and ‘Story of My Life’ at the top of our lungs.
  • Got our nails done and drove around to get free coffees for my friends bday, it was so fun!
  • I successfully got all my hours of driving with my permit accounted for, finishing up with a 2 and a half hour drive in the dark. and in the rain. On the freeway. Let’s just say I had a stress headache when we got home but I survived and we didn’t crash and now I’ve reached all my requirements for my license!
  • I signed up to play slow pitch softball at our local high school which is exciting but also terrrifyinggggg. I’ve been homeschooled my whole life and have never stepped foot onto the high school grounds so i’m really lost but I’m slowly adjusting! We also have to wear masks 24/7 while at the school which is something I’m willing to do to play softball but I will say, running in a mask is not a vibe. Not a vibe.
  • Got up at 5:00 a.m. to watch the sunrise with my neighbors and had a bit of difficulties but still ended up having a grand time!
  • Drank lots of coffee as per usual.
  • My mom cut me curtain bangs because lately I’ve been realizing that this life is temporary, half the decisions you make won’t change a lot of your overall story and just go for it. I’ve been embracing being spontaneous and just living a good life and its pretty nice ngl.
  • My neighbors and I started the year off on our right foot, literally. So we’ll see if that helps this year go better than ahem. our um. other year. *Cough…2020…cough*
  • My sister and I also worked for my dad for a couple Saturdays installing flooring which was nice! I didn’t love the work but I liked the money so I kept at it 😉
  • We got a tiny tiny bit of snow but sledding it it was amazingly fun xD
  • we fed cows for my grandpa, day and night because he had shoulder surgery and can’t use his arm for a while. The cows started having calfs and they’re the cutest!

okay that wraps up memories, now enjoy some pictures!

this picture is so blurry but for some reason I love it?
burning our Christmas tree, so sad but I also rlly love this picture like I feel like it has a deeper meaning but I don’t have a deeper meaning man. I just like the contrast but also its rlly sad bc duh, tree is burning ://

and I’ll end this post here. Hope you enjoyed ❤

Have a lovely day! How was ur January? Best part of today? Favorite meal of the day? I like lunch the most because I’m never hungry in the morning but breakfast food is amazing!

xx, Jasmin

  1. I hope you don’t mind me asking… I know I’m pretty late to ask this, but my email has now locked me out, which = no blog notifications : ( . Anyway… what’s that Country Coffee shop thing? Is it another blog? I’m just kinda confused. Thanks.

      1. Still locked out, but my mom thinks that you would need to start a coffee shop out here. Ooooor… you could probably work at Identity Coffee Shop in Rindge ; )

  2. Ahh, these recap posts are the best! I love the photo of the tree burning (though you’re right, it is a bit sad). Haha, I agree with the hair thing! I got curtain bangs cut and I’m still trying to make my decision. Haha, if I decide they’re a nope, all I have to do is wait a year and four months for them to grow out, right? XD

    1. Aww thank you so much! 💛
And I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves that photo! Something about it just stands out to me?
Oohh twins! How are you liking them so far? Mine have been pretty nice, the one downside is my mom cut a lot of hair to curtain bang length so it almost looks like too much hair if you know what I mean. But I still like them!

  3. Hi Jasmin! I just started following your blog and I love it, especially the pen pal posts! It sounds like your January was full of fun. I’ve always wanted to watch the sunset, but it’s currently below zero here so that’ll have to wait. 🙂 I’m also homeschooled, but play sports (Cross Country and Track) at the local high school. Have a wonderful rest of Feburary! I’d love it you checked out my blog over at https://theforgottenquillpen.blogspot.com/. I blog about all things snail mail and pen pals, but I just started recently.

  5. I loved reading about your month – and I just want to say what you said about not wanting to pressure yourself to post a lot is so right – the burnout can be real and before you know it you’ve come to resent blogging which isn’t good!
I hope you have a lovely February:)

  6. I love your snapshots & the bullet-styled memories!! So happy that you got see friends so much, I finally got spend a couple of days with different friends that I hadn’t seen or hung with in ages, & it was the most lovely thing. 7. Wowww your January looks like it was really fun and eventful, I barely did anything in January 😂Genuinely though, I can’t remember a single thing I did, oh well. Those snowmen look so cute and saddd haha, and also screaming train wreck and story of my life is a whole mood, and a type of selfcare if you will. Anywaysss I loved the post! Hope you have a greater February and happy valentines day lol ❤️xx

  8. A lovely post as always Jasmin! Fun to see what you’ve been getting up to. Congratulations on accumulating all the necessary hours for your licence! That’s so exciting. I think I’ll start driving lessons during the week since I’ll only have two occupied days with college. I’m staying at my mum’s place from Monday to Wednesday and it’s much easier to take lessons there as opposed to in the mountains where the roads are kind of unpredictable!

Gorgeous pictures too. Hopefully you’re not getting snowed on too much! I’ve gotta say too.. I always wondered what happens to real Christmas trees! I was wondering whether you could replant them but they are cut.. so maybe not. Hahah. One of those things I suppose.

    1. Thank you so much! I love reading these posts and it’s always fun to write them 💞
Ty! Good luck on your driving lessons, I’m sure you’ll do fabulously! Remind me again what your going to college for?
We’ve got a ton of snow now, we’ll a ton for where I live anyways, about a foot and a half! We’re snowed in but we got some milk and bread tonight so we should survive 😉 Yes usually we don’t burn our tree but my tween brother loves burning stuff ofc so he was begging and my mom gave in. I haven’t heard of replanting them but I believe it may be possible, something to look into!!
