Hey hey. Long time no see. Just kidding, it hasn’t been that long, ( edit: yes, Jasmin, it’s actually been a very long time, up ur game girl!!!) I just wanted to say that xD. How are you? I’m doing pretty good. I had a couple days of not feeling so great but I finally kicked the sickness and I’m starting to feel like myself 😀

Also, new rant topic: Corona Virus/ COVID-19: K so where I live in the US, literally EVERYTHING is getting shut down and yeah, I know its for a good reason and we don’t want to spread COVID-19 but seriously- I’m watching my whole social life go down. the. drain. And I value my social life. I like people and I like being around people. My softball season got postponed until April, public school has been canceled for 6 weeks (which doesn’t affect me because, I’m HOMESCHOOLED), all restaurants and bars have been limited to to-go ordering only, and stores are limited to 50 people.The stores where I live have absolutely NO toilet paper and the food supply is going downhill, s hopefully people ease up on their stocking up ;). Gatherings over 50 people are banned as are shaking hands and giving hugs. A Family from my church recently lost a mother and daughter in a head on car accident and people were expecting a large funeral-1,200 people even, but a gathering that large is against the law. So the family is having to have an invite-only funeral, picking only 50 people out of the all the people who knew and loved the Mother and daughter. NO ONE can give HUGS or SHAKE HANDS. It is so sad and heartbreaking. I imagine that prayers for the family would be appreciated. So yeah, thats my rant. Talk to me in the comments about it if you want 🙂

Christina’s questions:

1.starbucks order (or just fav drink)? hmmm tough one 😂 ( I’m gonna say this to every question though). My go-to order at Starbucks is a caramel white mocha blended, which is a really sweet drink, but I love sweet drinks 🙂 I also really like strawberry lime lemonades from dutch bros. It’s always super good and it’s a good no-coffee alternative for those days when u don’t want coffee 🙂
2. favorite book? I really really love The Fault in Our Stars, it’s so sad but it’s written so well imo! Also I love so many Historical fiction books about WWII so if you have any recommendations, let me know!
3. favorite movie? Another tough one 😉 I’m like the most indecisive person ever so welp. I really like all the Narnia movies, and I love the old Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and I also just watched the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and I really liked it 🙂
4. your favorite thing in your wardrobe? okay. I have had an obsession with green coats, like cargo/utility jackets? I got one at a yard sale when I was like 10 and ever since then they’ve been a staple in my wardrobe! The one I currently wear a lot looks something like this:

5. summer or winter? Probably summer, although I like winter some too. I live in an area where it rains A LOT and I don’t like the rain at all so yeah. Summer vibes are the best!
6. beach or mountains? It all depends on my mood. I LOVE the beach but I also LOVE the mountains. I have to say probably the beach, I love walking around the little tourist-y shops and playing in the sand and all the sun and waves and again: SUMMER VIBES ❤️
7. favorite meme? Ahhhh I have to choose?!? I look at memes way too much, but they’re great xD. I can’t pick a favorite so, here is one I like:

8. chocolate or candy? Oof, hard. It depends on my mood but overall I probably gotta say candy bc I love fruity candy like Mike&Ikes and skittles. But chocolate is bomb. So I can’t really pick 😂

CoffeeAndCream‘s question:

if you could visit any country, where would it be? hmmm… I had to think long and hard about this question. I feel like I would choose either Italy, Spain, or Greece? (I just realized these are very similar but oh welp 😂) I love the architecture of these countries and all the pictures I’ve seen are gorgeous. So yeah. Or France seems really fun and romantic and stuff 😂. I can’t even choose, I want to travel a TON when I’m older!

Elsie’s questions:

why did you start a blog? Good question! Originally I wanted to start a blog bc one of my friends, (Liberty) had one, and it seemed cool so ya know, I wanted to hop on the bandwagon or whatever 😂 But it took a couple years to convince my parents to let me get one and then randomly last year my mom was like ” so you want to get a blog?” and was like “sure, why not?!” So I started blogging with the idea in my mind that I could maybe eventually use my blog to earn some money (but if thats going to happen It will be far in the future) and also as a way to partner with companies and reviewing things! Lats month I got my first product to review so hopefully that post will be up soon!

what was the last book you read & movie you watched? Last book I read was Lovely War, (which was quite good) and the last movie I watched was The Help, which was also quite good!

where do you see yourself in 5 years time? Hmmm… I would love to have a good job, be in a relationship, being happy, enjoying being with people I love, and honestly just living a life for Jesus. Obviously, that might not be where God takes me but we’ll see!

Raegan‘s questions:

1. Do you like dogs? I LOVE dogs! I’m definitely more of a dog person than a cat person and I love how dogs are so personal, they honestly are man’s best friend!
2. Do you play any instruments? No, sadly. Not yet anyways. I have a guitar but I am yet to learn how to play it yet. I hope to learn soon though!
3. Do you like coffee with cream or black? Oh definitely with cream! I like lots of cream, little bit of coffee and some creamer/sweetener. I don’t know how people drink their coffee black?
4. Spring or Fall? I have to say spring. I love when it starts to be sunny again and all the flowers blooming are so pretty! Where I live, we get a pretty decent amount of rain in the fall, and as I mentioned above, rain is not a favorite of mine.
5. Easter or valentines? I’m gonna say Easter? I love going to church and singing all the Easter hymns, they give me chills! Valentine’s Day is a lot of fun though!

Mary’s Questions:

-What is your favorite thing about blogging? Ooooooo great question! I gotta say the people and blogosphere, everyone is so kind and welcoming and ahhh I just love y’all!!!
-Out of all of your posts, which one has been your favorite and why? Hmmmm… I really like my bullet journal posts and you guys also seem to enjoy them so that’s good! Some posts like my monthly recap, can be stressful and feel really time consuming to write, but since bullet journaling is something I do, its pretty easy to take pictures of the pages and upload them! I love bullet journaling and reading about how others bullet journal too!
-And what do you hope to accomplish with your blog? I would love to one day get some sort of income of my blog but thats a bug dream so I don’t know. Mainly I just hope I leave a positive impact on people, brighten their day, and spread the love and light of Jesus!

February 2020. thumbs up

Hey guys. How’s life? How are you? I’m good 🙂 Happy march! February FLEW by, and it feels like it also went so slowly. Time is confusing xD. How was your February? The time has come for my monthly wrap-up post so here is chapter 2 of 12 😊

Things that happened this month:

Went clam digging and stayed at a hotel. Y’all, I promise staying at a hotel isn’t a monthly thing we do, it’s just happened this year xD. We went clam digging with my cousins and my family so there was 13 people digging and we got 390 clams over 2 days. Thats a lot. I don’t even like eating clams but I enjoy the digging part usually so I just let my family eat them xD. The first day of clamming it was nasty weather-it was raining and gusting wind, it was horrible. I was soaked through 3 layers, including a winter coat and it was gross. The second day was nicer weather, I stayed in the car for the first 45 minutes until mostly everyone else had got their limit and then I went out and dug mine. It only took me 15 minutes to dig my limit, which is 15 clams so it was a awesome tide! I really enjoyed staying with my cousins and family at the hotel, we drank hot cocoa in wine glasses (simply to feel fAnCy), had a sleepover, and watched HGTV. It was awesome!
Turned a year older, a.k.a. had my birthday! My birthday was February 21st and I turned a year older! I guess thats usually what you do on your birthday though 😉 I’m not allowed to say how old I am but I still have a couple years of being a teenager xD On my birthday I went to town with my dad and we got free birthdays coffees, which is our yearly tradition 🙂 We got 12 coffees, well, technically one was a lemonade but yeah xD. It was a good day. I don’t feel any older though xD

found out I have to be gluten free for THREE MONTHS. somebody help. I may die. So I have a weird rash in my armpits. And I’ve had it since like June so we went to the dr. to get it checked out. The rash can be a sign of cancer, diabetes and all that fun stuff so the dr. decided to do a blood draw to make sure all my levels were good. The good news is I dont have cancer or diabetes but I have a low phosphorus level which is a sign of Malnourishment but if you knew me in real life, you can tell I’m obviously not malnourished so somethings blocking my body from being fully nourished which is sometimes a sign of a gluten allergy or something. So bottom line, I have to go gluten free for three months and then go get my blood drawn again and see if the levels are better 🙂 So cross your fingers, because I don’t know if I c an survive being gf forever.
my family got sick and we’ve had the sickness (which my Mom figures is the influenza) for about a week and a half. It’s not a puking sickness, it’s just a fever, bad headache, aching, and a cough but it’s still super annoying. I got sick on Monday and I’m still a little sick today (Thursday) but I’m on the mend! We had to cancel my birthday party and sleepover so I’m hoping I get better soon so those things can happen!
Went dress shopping with some friends from my co-op and went out for dinner. then we had a sleepover. IT WAS SO FUN! So I go to a co-op and they do this thing called protocol, where (Idek how to explain it) basically the boys learn how to be gentlemen and the girls learn how to be ladies. Like the boys open doors, pull out seats, etc. It’s kind of awkward but I feel like it’s really a good thing to experience? Anyways, we have a protocol event in March. We’re going to go out for dinner, dressed up in fancy dresses (the dress code is formal) and we’re going to a murder mystery show/puzzle type thing? I don’t know but I’m super excited! So we went out shopping after school one day and it was really fun! I found TWO dresses in the time span of 30 minutes which is really impressive because usually I can’t find modest dresses but I found two! They’re both basically the same, they’re both black lace, but one has sleeves, and the other is a sleeveless and yeah. That’s the only difference 😂 I like the second one because the fabric is more soft and it’s more me, so I think that’s the one I’m going with! After buying my dress we went out to eat and we talked for a good hour and a half and ahhh it was really fun!
Went Krispy Kreme 3 times. My sister and I went to a weekly softball clinic with some of our best friends and after our clinic each week, we would stop by a Krispy Kreme. I’d only had Krispy Kreme once before but DUDE ITS GOOD. You walk into the shop and its so sweet smelling and you can see all the donuts being made and when the donuts get glazed, it looks so cool! Also, how do YOU spell donut? Doughnut or donut? I feel like doughnut is the correct spelling but I always spell it d-o-n-u-t. Let me know 🙂
Went to a Valentines day girls group. So I go to a girls group with girls from our church and this month, since it was Valentines, our topic was relationships. We met in this girls cabin, Her and her husband are newly married but they live in a tiny cabin that is the most adorable, cutest, coziest thing ever. It was so small and just cozy ahhhh it was like an air-b&b. We hung out, ate valentines day candy and snacks, had heart shaped pizza, played games, giggled a TON, and talked about our topic. It was definitely one of my favorite memories of this month, it was such a blessed time ❤️
Someone my dad knows landed a plane in a field near our house. It was a little plane but IT WAS SO COOL. The guy had a taildragger plane and he came in right as the sun was setting and landed and ahhh IT WAS AWESOME! My Dad and Mom had just left to go out for dinner and they were like 2 minutes away and my dad seen the plane fly over so he turned around, and raced back to our house. At first we thought the guy might not land because he flew by and was gone for like 10 minutes but then he came back in, going really slow and he floated down into the field. Let me repeat myself once more: IT WAS SO COOL!
Posted pretty consistently on my blog and for that I’m quite proud of myself. I posted 5+ times in February which is my goal so hopefully I can keep it up!
Had a Practice dinner for protocol (a co-op thing) which was super fun. We had a practice night for the protocol event and we went to Walmart and our group of 8 teens was split up and we went shopping and got stuff to make soft tacos. After, we went to one of my friend’s house and we made the food together, set the table, and just hung out. It was awkward having my seat pulled out and pushed in but The boy I was paired with joked around so it wasn’t as awkward and it was really fun. After eating, we all cleaned up together and then since my birthday was the next day, we had ice cream sundaes, they were so good. Then everyone sang Hbd to me and it was embarrassing but I survived xD. It was so much fun though!
Spring cleaned my room and moved all the furniture around. I decided to spring clean my room. I dont know why but I wanted too. So one night, I moved all my furniture out into the hall, and I started vacuuming. The next day I did touch up paint and wiped down the doors, trim, windows, and mirrors. Halfway through that day, I got sick with the sickness I was telling y’all about above and so my furniture sat in the Hall for 4 days instead of the one day it was supposed to. Sorry Mom and Dad ;). Also when I got sick, the only furniture left in my room was my bed because I couldn’t fit it out the door xD. Finally I’m getting better so I’m currently in the process of moving everything back in!
Received some stuff from a company that I’m gonna review and do a post on soon! I wrote to a company a couple months ago and I asked if they would be interested in collaborating with my blog. They sent me a package with a couple products to review so hopefully, I will get the post up soon!

Updated my sites look so it isn’t so basic? Check it on the site, its just the main page that I redid but I made a header and so i’m proud 🙂 Thoughts on the new design? I’m not much of a website designer as i’m new to this whole blogging thing so its definitely not the best but I like it!

Overall, February was a pretty good month, minus the sickness! I hung out with friends, did productive things and just had fun. I also cried, didn’t feel great, and ya know, all that great stuff but I try to look at the positive things so I had a good month!

OK! Now onto pictures!

We drove to town and about 5 miles away from the gas station my Mom says “Pray we make it, we’re on empty.” xD. Luckily, we made it and got gas but you better believe I was praying hard 😂

As you can see, I also ate a lot of good food this month. My computer was having issues uploading photos so I just put them all in a college so I can upload one photo vs. uploading 0 photos 🙂 Going from the top left to right I will explain them: tea, I’m still drinking quite a bit BUT COFFEE IS JUST BETTER TASTING. We got pizza when we went down to the ocean and oh my word it was so good. Papa Murphy’s is where it’s at people. Next is a Strawberry Lime lemonade thing from dutch bros, it was one of my birthday drinks and it was definitely one of my favorites! And it got bonus points bc they put a little tiny tootsie pop in the straw ❤ Middle row we have peppermint ice cream which = life ( I mean, have you had it?!? It’s the creamiest thing ever just YESSSSS) then we have chocolate chip pancakes which bring back memories of my childhood and are really yummy and then finally we have Chicken tenders and French fries, two of the best things in the world if you ask me. On the last row, we have a HUGE donut that my uncle and dad found in a little bakery, it took like 5 kids to devour that but it went fast 😉 Then we have a chocolate covered strawberry that was absolutely delicious. Man, they’re good! And last but not least, my fAnCy cousin and I drinking our cocoa out of wine glasses. It felt elegant 😉

Another college because it’s more time efficient. Starting again top left-to-right: The first picture is from when we were shopping for food for our protocol practice dinner, we were getting candy and ice cream and soda and avocados and cheese xD We got the off brand stuff because one of the boys kept arguing that it was WAY cheaper, which I’ll give to him, it was :D. And I’m fine with saving some money. Next, I HIT 500 LIKES! tysm guys, y’all are awesome <3! Top right is us at girls group, huddling. I don’t know why but we were tired and we decided to do a football huddle and yeah, it was fun xD. Moving onto the middle row, First: A cookie I decorated on V-day, Second: A coffee from my birthday and her handwriting is so pretty! Third: Me and Lynae eating popcorn at girls group. I think I ate almost half the bowl it was so good. I had raspberry chocolate drizzled on it and yummm it was so good! Last row, we have me reading Shakespeare in class! Last week I missed class but I think we were gonna read the last chapter so now we have to read the actual Shakespeare-y stuff so yikes. Next photo is just a photo of our road, heading up into the woods. And last but not least is a shaky blurry photo of trees and the power line, it looked semi-aesthetic 🙂

Same routine, you know it 😉 First we have a recent addition to my bujo: a vine page xD I was bored and I wanted to draw an avocado so ta-da, this page was born (okay that sounds weird) Next is a picture of my little sister looking at the plane in the field, it was so SO SO cool! Next is SCHOOL. WOO. Science is not my best subject, I’m not really enjoying it this year sadly. Moving right along, on the middle row first we have the table for our practice protocol dinner, it looked soooo nice! Following is a picture of Finn, my puppy who I love. He is so cuteee ❤ then comes a pic of me cleaning my room, I patched some little holes in my wall and repainted the wall, and it looks quite nice. Last row, we have first, another example of me taking too long on my science and making it look pretty xD. Then we have a picture of my journaling Bible, I seriously recommend getting one! They’re so fun and its really nice to be able to add your notes and thoughts of the passages! Last, we have a picture of Lynae shooting some hoops, ya know we play b-ball sometimes. Just kidding. It was like my third time playing and I’m definitely not going to start playing it as a sport. xD it was fun tho!

1.What’s your favourite book?

Ack I can’t pick just one! One that I really loved when I was younger is Cages, and two of my favorites now are The Fault in Our Stars ( ahhhhhh itsss soooooo sadddd I hate/love it) and The Red Umbrella. Definitely read them all, they’re honestly the BEST.

2.What’s your least favourite book?

Hmmmm, I’ve never had a book I HATE, mostly I just find them boring. One that I’ve found boring recently is Billy Budd, Sailor which I had to read for school and I did not enjoy it. No offense to anyone who likes it but it just wasn’t my favorite. like at alllllll. 😂

3.How many books do you have on your physical TBR? (books that you own & need to read)

Let me check 😉 Atm, there’s only one, because I never buy books anymore :(((( I hope to buy more books this year tho! Anywho, the book on my physical tbr is The Baker’s Secret, which I received for Christmas and just never got around to reading. It looks good though and I’m excited to read it soon!

4.What is/was your favourite subject at school?

My favorite subject in school right now is Drama. In drama, we’re reading The Taming of the Shrew which is a play by Shakespeare. I wasn’t very excited about reading it but I’m actually enjoying it a LOT. We’ve been reading the play in class and the boys in my class all do different accents and it makes it super interesting 😃

5.What’s your favourite board game?

I’m basic and I like Life and Clue 😂 There is another board game I really like called Act your Wage! And it’s pretty fun 🙂

6. What’s a stereotype that’s true about you?

Homeschoolers stereotypes. It’s bad 😂 We use essential oils, we’re all shy and we go to co-ops. But we’re really awesome people. Get to know us and u won’t regret it 😉

7.What’s a stereotype that’s not true about you?

I’m a not a wild teenager like the typical stereotype for high schoolers that says they like partying, and being rude, and crazy. I’m very much tame and I usually prefer to talk and just hang out instead of being crazy? Idk, this was a tough question xD

8. Favourite cake flavour?

Probably chocolate. It’s what I grew up with and it’s just good. But not chocolate cake AND chocolate frosting bc that’s too much chocolate. 😂

9.What’s something you’ve always wanted to know more about?

People. I really like learning about people’s lives and just becoming friends with people so I try to overcome my awkwardness and shyness and just go talk to new people 😆 It happens sometimes, I promise 😂

10.Are you good at multitasking?

Ha. Ha. Ha. No. I like to try to be good at it but in all reality I fail epically. To give myself credit, I can multitask some stuff like I can talk on the phone and clean my room but I can’t clean with music without getting distracted by my music 😂

2020 room tour. dances into my room

Hey y’all. How’s life? I’m doing good 🙂

Today I cleaned my room so I figured I could do a room tour! We moved into our current house about 2 years ago I think and I got my own room for the first time! I really like having my own space and I really like the cozy vibes of my room. I spend a lot of time in my room, but I like the space. I’m thinking about redoing my room next year but my parents said I have to pay for it so I need to get a job and start saving xD

any who, let’s get onto the actual post!

*please forgive me for the not-so-great lighting, these winter days are quite dreary and gray so I don’t have a lot of natural light, but SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!!! Ok, fine, not exactly but its decently close!

Okay, we’ll start with my favorite part of my room: MY BED <<333333 I spend a lot of time in bed, I like to do school in bed, and read in bed, and journal on my bed, and yeah I like my bed 😀 I got the throw blanket on the end for Christmas from my mom and dad and I LOVE it. It’s so soft and I love the geometric design on it! I also really like the goodnight gorgeous pillow, it says good morning gorgeous on one side and the other side says good night gorgeous so thats cool!

This is my chair. I don’t know how to elaborate on that 😂 To the left of my chair is the door where you enter my room, I forgot to take a picture from that view so WHOOPS. Under my chair is a horse blanket that I’ve had since I was like 8 and until Christmas of 2019, I still slept with it. Then my parents got me the new blanket shown in the picture above and so I folded the horse one up and stuck it there. I don’t quite know what I’m going to do with it yet, I’m not ready to get rid of it xD

I also have my guitar (which I still need to learn to play) and then a little storage container thing where I keep my purse!

My aunt is an amazing painter and when we moved into our new house she sent this AMAZING picture to my sister and I! My aunt ( you can view her Etsy shop here.) paints abstract paintings ( I used to call them nonsense paintings bc they didn’t make sense xD) so painting horses was harder for her but I think it’s great!! I really love the colors and the horses were made to look like our horses so thats cool!

To the right of my chair I have my nightstand which is actually just an old crate tipped upside down xD On it I have my lamp, a house phone, a ring holder and some little bird figurines. I also have my Bible, a book where I write my favorite quotes, and my bullet journal.

My bed <333333 again bc why not xD. I have a down comforter ( I’m pretty sure anyways ;)) and it is sooo nice.

Above my bed, I have a dream catcher my mom and I made! I think the dream catcher is so cute and it was actually really easy to make! It was kind of speedy tho, The ribbons and lace that hang from it were not cheap. Next to the dreamcatcher, I have a shelf with an air plant, fairy lights, a dish thats shaped like a leaf and then a quote book and a Bible. Continiueing on, next to my shelf, I have a light up sign that says Hello. And that is all for those two sides of my room! Next to my bed I have a window but I did not get a picture of that so welp.

Across the room from my bed I have a woven basket type thing were I keep extra pillows and blankets. I also have my stuffed animals sat on top of it and then there is a full length mirror behind it. The full length mirror is definitely one of my favorite things in my room, it’s the best for seeing an outfit, and looking at my pimples, and all the normal things u use mirrors for xD

Next, there is a door into my walk in closet, probably the favorite thing in my room! My dad made me some built in bookshelves and so I have all my books stored there, as you can probably tell, I like reading 😉

Continuing on into my closet: I have my clothes, some are hung up and some are in drawers and then I have other things tucked away mostly in boxes and such!

On the right side of my closet I have a rod to hang clothes and a while ago I tried to color coordinate my hanging clothes but as you can see, that idea has gone mainly down the drain. I’m doing good if I even hang the clothes up now ;))))

On the left side of my closet, I recently painted the wall with chalk board paint and now I can write on it with chalk! It’s really cool but it also sucks because the chalk leaves a lot of dust and then my closet needs vacuumed like 24/7 🤦🏼‍♀️

But I just wrote ” you look great” bc I need to work on self confidence more 🙂

And, on the last wall of my room, I have a desk. I keep all my journaling and letter writing supplies in the drawers and I also have a candle drawer, makeup drawer, and tea drawer. Cool stuff tho. On top of the desk I have a bunch of succulents that I got from the company mountain crest garden, go check them out, they’re awesome! On one side of my mirror I have a bunch of polaroids and on the other side is a dry erase board that I write quotes on!

A better picture of the succulents and also, MY NEWEST POETRY BOOK!!!! Its called ” all along you were blooming” and its a collection of poetry by Morgan Harper Nichols and the whole book is so so SO gorgeous. I might do a blog post about it once I get around to reading some of the poetry xD

Ft. my closet door and the majority of the wall!! I have Christmas lights hung around my room and I absolutely love them! My actual light bulb has a yellow thing around it so the light is yellow and I don’t like the yellow light so I usually just use the natural light and my Christmas lights 😀

And last but not least, I have my earring and necklace holders! I’m getting quite the collection of necklaces and earrings and I’m quite happy about that 😊
