Hey lovelies! How are y’all?? I’m grand 🙂 Um so I haven’t posted in foreverrrr but I have exciting news, I went on a road trip to Utah! I’ve always thought Utah looked like a really cool place and so while looking for a destination for a family road trip, I suggested Utah and my parents agreed! I also knocked a couple other states of my list of states I wanted to visit so that was thrilling 🙂
We went to Idaho, Utah, Nevada and even Arizona! AZ was wonderful, I was there for about 2 whole minutes while I took a picture with the state sign and then we turned around and drove over the state line haha! But I got to cross it off my list and now I can say I’ve been there 🤩 Anyways, I might add a little bit of commentary along with these pictures but I’ve got two batches of clothes to fold so I just wanted to hop on and do a little photo journal of my trip!
**All photos taken on my iPhone 11 and edited with free vsco filters or Lightroom presets 🙂
ALSO: saddest thing ever for my little photographer heart. I dropped my phone in Utah right as we were getting into Idaho and my phone camera broke 😭 Now all my photos in direct sunlight with the back camera have a huge glare. Quite sad. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon and its not too expensive 🤞🏼
all these pictures above were taken in Idaho except for the cartwheel one, that one was from the bonneville salt flats 🙂 Btw, highly recommend the salt flats if you like taking pictures, it was SO pretty!
of course I had to get coffee in Utah haha 😉 Not a ton of coffee shops though which was quite sad but I tried swig which was pretty good!
Anyways, that’s all for this post! I’ve got a super fun collab coming up, ft. some really cool socks I’m excited to show you guys 🤭 Also, i’m now addicted to funky socks, they’re the best haha!
what was your favorite picture? What is your favorite state? How many states have you been to? Ever went on a road trip? Comment down below, id love to chat! 💓🌸

I started blogging last year on this exact day. What a young little kid I was ahah. I didn’t know how many sweet people I would “meet” in the blogosphere or how this blog would help me grow and vent and learn to write better. It’s helped with expressing myself too. I never knew how far this blog would come and I would have NEVER dreamed of having 300+ followers, that is still crazyyy to comprehend! I just want to say the typical but sincere thank you guys all so much for your support, it means the world and I can’t believe it. I’m so grateful and amazed at how sweet y’all are and yeah, you’re the best. Thank you so so so much! And here’s to another fabulous year for TheWriterofLetters!!
Hey lovelies, how are y’all doing on this fine day? I’m doing pretty well! I hope you guys are doing great!
Today I am back with my first real review! I wrote a letter to Alaffia asking if they had anything that they could send me to review on my blog and one day, when I was sick and laying on the couch, my dad got home from the post office and I had got a package! At first, I didn’t know who the box was from but once opening it, I remembered that I had written to them a month or so ago! I was so very pleased and thankful to get a box from them and I couldn’t wait to review the products they sent to me!
***These products were sent to me for free to honestly review and I am not receiving any money for reviewing them
They sent me a HUGEEEE thing of lotion, a stick of deodorant, a card, pin, temporary tattoos and a charm! I was so excited to receive this in the mail and I was honestly amazed by how much they sent me 🙂
Let’s start off with the lotion! At first, I wasn’t planning on using it as I’m not a big lotion user and I was going to have my sister review it but I decided that since they sent it to me, I would review it 😉 My mom and sister also gave their thoughts so I’ll mention those. My overall rating: 7/10 My thoughts: At first I was a little thrown off by the scent because the scent is passion fruit and to me, it smells like some vitamins that I took as a kid. My mom smelled it though and she said that she thought it smelled like passion fruit. My thoughts on the actual lotion are pretty good, the lotion is a little water-y feeling but once you rub it in, the water-y feeling goes away. I have a really dry face so I rubbed this lotion on it everyday for about a week or so and my face stopped being so dry. My sister used the lotion for a week and she thought that it worked well for hydrating her hands. My mom also used the lotion once when her hands were extremely chapped and she thought that it worked really well. The ingredients are also really good and natural, so that was pleasing to hear because natural is always good!
The deodorant sadly didn’t work for me, but a lot of natural deodorants don’t. So I don’t have much to say about this. Let me know if you’ve ever tried this deodorant and how it worked for you?!
Last but not least, I wanted to point out that Alaffia funds/donates/supports a lot of awesome things, and they have some awesome products that you should definitely try out! A big thanks to Alaffia for sending me some products to review, I am super thankful!
And that is all for this post! Have you ever tried any Alafia products? Did you like them? How did your week go? Talk to me in the comments, I’d love to hear from you! Thanks for reading! ❤️
Hey dudes! CHRISTMAS IS IN LESS THAN TWO DAYS. I can not believe it!!!
Today my post is about the REAL REASON for CHRISTmas. Everyone (including myself) gets really caught up in the holiday bustle and cheer and giving and recieving gifts and many people don’t really remember why we celebrate Christmas.
We celebrate Christmas because God sent His one and only son, Jesus, to be our savior. God sent Jesus to save us from our sins because He loves us. Imagine giving up your so for everyone in the world. Jesus didn’t want to be hung on the cross but he did just for us. So we could be saved. Anyways 😉 I’m getting a little of topic.
God sent His one and only son Jesus to be our savior. Joseph and Mary were ‘espoused’ when they found out the virgin Mary was great with child.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Meanwhile, A decree from Caesar Augustus went out that the whole world should be taxed. So since Joseph came from the house and lineage of David, Him and Mary went to the city of David. It was a journey to David and they had to go slower because Mary was pregnant and so with time it became time for Mary to give birth.
1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem and they stopped for the night, as Mary was about to have Jesus and They went from inn to inn looking for room. But alas, all the inns were full and there was no where to stay. So Joseph and Mary went into a stable and there Mary birthed the Savior. They named him Jesus.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And God sent angels to the Shepards that were out in the fields tending their sheep to tell of the saviors birth and he put a star in the sky to lead the wise men to Jesus.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
And the wonderful story continues in the Bible but that’s all for my post today :)) Hope u enjoyed and have a wonderful Christmas! Don’t forget why we celebrate it though 🙂
