RNTBoutiques collab and gift ideas!!

Hello lovelies!! How are you doing today?

I’m very very excited for this collab and I’m sure you’ll be able to understand! I recently worked with one of the sweetest shop owners I’ve ever met, and that happens to be Lina Tran, who runs her etsy shop, RNTBoutiques! Lina was so fun to work with and really put a lot of effort into my package 🥰 She was so so thoughtful and opening the box from her felt like getting a present from a friend! She so kindly read my blog and found out I loved cow print and the color blue and then she decided to make that the theme of my box and let me tell you, I ADORE it all!

RNTBoutiques would be the perfect shop to shop at right now coming up to the holiday season as Lina has so many different products available! She has hair clips which are super popular right now, along with some of the cutest fun socks I’ve seen 🤩 She has adorable clay jewelry, phone cases, stickers, scrunchies and so much more. Shopping small is something I’m passionate about as I think it’s just so much better to support and I love helping out the small shop owners! If you see something you love or something you think someone you know may love on the RNTBoutiques shop, I highly encourage you to buy it and bless Lina’s day! I’m sure all orders make her happy 🙂

Let me show you some fun pictures now! I love how these photos turned out, I took them all on a DSLR and edited them with a free vsco filter ❤

I absolutely adore these flower claw clips! They work surprisingly well on thick hair and they’re a creative twist on the claw clips everyone is wearing now a days! I also LOVE the colors of them, they’re beautiful! These would work greta as stocking stuffers or as an addition to a gift basket for a friend.

LOOK HOW CUTE!!! The strawberry and blueberry cows have my heart and the aesthetics of the whale and butterfly?! I can’t 🥰

When Lina messaged me and asked if my ears were pierced I was thrilleddd! The jewelry on her site is all so cute and the pieces she sent me do not disappoint! I can’t even express how much I love the daisy earrings, I’ve been wanting some earrings like this and The clay earrings are so intricately designed 🤩 These are a wonderful gift for any earring lover.

As it says on the description of the shop, Lina loves sending extras in her orders! On purchases of $50 and above, you get one of these adorable little suitcases along with other extras 🎉 She sent some scrunchies to me and they matched perfectly with the blue and cow print theme!

SO CUTE 🐮💙

AHHH I love these socks!! They’re so cozy and cute to pair with some black leggings and an oversized t-shirt or sweater!

and to finish it off, a cute, sweet note from Lina!

Once again, thank you so so much Lina for being willing to send me these products and for being so kind and thoughtful! This was such fun post and collab and I hope we can collab again ❤ I appreciate it so much!

That’s all I’ve got for today guys!! What’d you think?? What was your favorite product from this post?! Whats on your Christmas wishlist?

Seventeen Syllables poetry book review. pt. 1 *falls back onto bed in pure happiness*

Hello friends! How are you? I’m doing wonderfully today, especially since I’m writing this post and you. guys. I’m so over-the-top excited for this review! I’ve done quite a few reviews but this is definitely going to the top of my list as one of my favorites.

Let me give you a bit of back story. Lori Hetteen, one of the loveliest people on Etsy, kindly agreed to send me her own two poetry books from her Etsy shop, lorihetteen. She has two books of poetry that she has for sale on her shop, both of which are absolutely, positively amazing in very way and I’m so very happy with them!

Now, with these poetry books I don’t want to spoil too much of the insides of them for you, especially if you are to buy them! But a struggle I came across was while trying to pick my favorite pieces of poetry to share with you, I couldn’t decide. So I decided to split this review up into two posts, and in this post I’ll review the Seventeen Syllables book! Now to show you some of my favorites pieces from the book, and to share some lovely pictures! Let’s go!

*All photos edited with Lightroom preset 🙂

The cutest intro page in my opinion 🥰

loveeee <3333

This page is quite explanatory if you read it, but ill sum it up for you once more. Lori often adds little notes, thoughts or explanations about the main piece of poetry. When she does this, she adds it to the bottom of the right hand page and it’s honestly one of my favorite things. It just helps expound more and really gets you thinking!

I love this!! I feel like a lot of the poems and pieces are about this but honestly this is one of the best reminders for me. There’s goodness in every stage, as long as we look for it. This relates back to last year, 2020, where a large majority of the year sucked but there was good. Quite a bit of good if you ask me. And i’m not saying 2020 was a “good” year, in fact it was quite pitiful but i’m choosing not to dwell on that, and instead to think of the more happier, positive things 🙂

I really love this one. I love the little definition/explanation or expanding on the haiku. I find it fascinating how its mentioned in the poem, we keep picking us. It’s so true and to look back at my life and realize how I chose my friends or how they chose me is mind boggling, it’s really something to think about.

A lovely piece of encouragement and such a good reminder. God’s got this, Even the ravens and the Lillies know that.

People like sunshine. They’re truly the best ❤

My mindset and hopeful mentality. It’s sometimes hard to keep a positive outlook on life but it makes all the difference.

The strugglessss. Especially of an awkward, socially incompatible teen like me. But we can do it. And I love the reminder of the right picture, “give up the act..” Yessss!! Exactly. Let’s all just be the real us and I think we shall get along fine.

Amen sister, amen.

I’m obsessed with this one. *realizes I’ve said this about almost everyone so far* 🤦🏼‍♀️ But it’s true! The journey is what matters most in my opinion. It’s hard though to not want to rush to the end, to get to “the good part” but trust me, the journey. is. worth. it.

And that wraps up the pictures! I hope that wasn’t too many and I hope you weren’t bored, I certainly enjoyed reading through the book!

For a final review of Lori Hetteens poetry book, Seventeen Syllables, I’d like to give it a glowing review. Lori was so sweet and responsive and kind, truly wonderful to work with and everything about Seventeen Syllables completely amazed me. The pieces of poetry were relatable and just, so perfect and really good reminders of good life lessons, be thankful for the journey, treasure every moment, be kind and reach out. Continue to pick “us” and never look back.

Please please check out Lori’s shop, here’s a link to it! and a link to Seventeen Syllables 🙂 And as always, if you end up ordering this book, reach out to me! I have a contact page on my website and I would absolutely adore to rant and rave about this poetry or almost anything under the sun. Keep an eye out for the second post of this review, where I’ll be looking at The Moon says Hello, and have a wonderful day!

Which piece of poetry from this post was your favorite? How was your day today? How’s 2021 going for you? Did you check out Lori’s shop?

thanks for reading lovely,

xx, Jasmin

DIY Pen-pal pocket envelope *hurries to make more*

Hello! How are you today? Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

Today I’m back with a super fun post, that includes pen-paling so it’s gotta be awesome! I’ve been having a ton of fun sending out (and receiving) Christmas themed mail and although this isn’t Christmas themed, you can definitely make it more festive! Anyways, I got the idea for this from a collaboration I did this summer with the lovely Karen from her Etsy shop, HanjiKraft. The Inso for this project came from her happy mail kit she sent me and I absolutely loved hers so I decided I wanted to try it myself! Here’s a link to my post I did about her product, just in case you missed it 🙂 Anyways, I figured this would be a fun post and I hope you enjoy it! Let’s begin!

Supplies!

  • 2 envelopes, that are the same size and shape
  • washi tape
  • some fun patterned paper and ephemera
  • scissors
  • glue

So, first step. Take two of the same envelopes, make sure they’re the same size!

Now, cut off the flaps on both envelopes. I know, I know. If you’re any bit like me and treasure each and every envelope, this part can be a bit sad. But I promise the end result is worth it!

Now, tape the envelopes together with the pockets showing face up, so it can fold like a card! I taped both sides, the inside and out and I just taped it with a cute washi tape!

Next, grab that cute paper and ephemera I mentioned in the supplies list and flip over and fold your envelope pocket. Tape or glue the paper like a college on the fun part, sticking whatever you want, wherever you want! This is the real fun part, be creative!

Ta-da!!! Here’s how mine turned out, I really really like it 🤩 I also used a white gel pen to create the dots on the back of the envelope, just to add a special unique touch. And that’s all! What’d you think? I love how this turned out and it’s so so cute and easy, literally only took me like 15-20 minutes to make and now I have a cute little envelope pocket thing to stick in a letter! It’s also super fun to fill up the pockets on both sides with your letter and extra goodies and etc. All around just a fun little diy!

And that’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed, and let me know in the comments what you thought of this post! I had a lot of fun creating this, DIY penpal stuff is always so fun to craft and create ❤

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for reading, it means the most 💛
