Hey lovelies! How are y’all?? I’m grand 🙂 Um so I haven’t posted in foreverrrr but I have exciting news, I went on a road trip to Utah! I’ve always thought Utah looked like a really cool place and so while looking for a destination for a family road trip, I suggested Utah and my parents agreed! I also knocked a couple other states of my list of states I wanted to visit so that was thrilling 🙂
We went to Idaho, Utah, Nevada and even Arizona! AZ was wonderful, I was there for about 2 whole minutes while I took a picture with the state sign and then we turned around and drove over the state line haha! But I got to cross it off my list and now I can say I’ve been there 🤩 Anyways, I might add a little bit of commentary along with these pictures but I’ve got two batches of clothes to fold so I just wanted to hop on and do a little photo journal of my trip!
**All photos taken on my iPhone 11 and edited with free vsco filters or Lightroom presets 🙂
ALSO: saddest thing ever for my little photographer heart. I dropped my phone in Utah right as we were getting into Idaho and my phone camera broke 😭 Now all my photos in direct sunlight with the back camera have a huge glare. Quite sad. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon and its not too expensive 🤞🏼
all these pictures above were taken in Idaho except for the cartwheel one, that one was from the bonneville salt flats 🙂 Btw, highly recommend the salt flats if you like taking pictures, it was SO pretty!
of course I had to get coffee in Utah haha 😉 Not a ton of coffee shops though which was quite sad but I tried swig which was pretty good!
Anyways, that’s all for this post! I’ve got a super fun collab coming up, ft. some really cool socks I’m excited to show you guys 🤭 Also, i’m now addicted to funky socks, they’re the best haha!
what was your favorite picture? What is your favorite state? How many states have you been to? Ever went on a road trip? Comment down below, id love to chat! 💓🌸
Hey hey lovelies! How are you? I’m back! First off, I’m sorry I kinda just dropped off the face of the earth for a bit there, I got my license and a lot more which I’ll go into more detail on in this post but my life got real busy and I just didn’t have time to type a post. Blogging is something I really love but I didn’t want to force myself to write so just kinda was waiting for a little break so I could get a post up on my own time ya know?
So this is my life update from February and March! My life has been great, I’m living the dream and enjoying it a lot 🤩 Still have had my ups and downs but that’s life. Some big things that happened:
I got my license!!!! and turned a year older ahhh good job meee 😂
I bought a car! I have car payments which is INSANELY stressful and I don’t recommend but I’ve payed off 60% of my dear ‘Brenda’ so thats thrilling. Would y’all like an introduction post where I show u my car and give you a little tour of her? And yes, I’m one of those weirdos who named her car and refers to it as a person basically. It’s fine though, im cool. promise. 😉
I played a season of slow pitch softball for our local high school! It was crazy and many new experiences but I did enjoy it. I did so many big girl things like drove myself to my first few games, got on the bus which i’ve never done before because i’m homeschooled, and just overall stepped out of my comfort zone.
I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone a lot these past few months so proud of myself for that. Kinda like the last highlight but I’ve went to dr. appointments by myself, made appointments, and one day I even drove into the sketchy city to go get my oil changed. Oh my, that was an experience. Since we bought my car at a dealership I had free servicing there and I needed my oil changed so I made an appointment there for 7:50 in the morning. Got up, dragged my sister with me because I didn’t wanna go alone and drove an hour to get there. Then I’m a dumb little teenager and didn’t know what to do when I got to the car dealership so I felt a little stupid but I fumbled my way through it with my sweet sister by my side and eventually left the dealership around 10 after getting my oil changed and acquiring some new license plates. Ah I’m so grown *pats myself on the back*
Lovely lovely news, I fell on my butt and fractured my tailbone. This wasn’t my first rodeo, I’m so clumsy and I’ve fallen and hurt my tailbone before but this time I actually got an x-ray and yeah, fractured tailbone it is. It doesn’t hurt much except when I sit at hard benches for long amounts of time.
Did some jobs for friends and family and got some money to pay off Brenda! I construction cleaned 12 4-plexes with some friends and oof, that took a while. It was enjoyable kind of though and I made money 🤪
I bought a phone! I got an iPhone 11 so please be amazed with the quality, I sure am. I love it very much and yeah, it’s pretty awesome.
School’s crusin on. We start summer break on May 6th and I couldn’t be more excited! Last week we had a protocol event which is basically like a dance and we did a semi formal barn dance type event and it was so fun! I’m so bad at dancing but luckily everyone else was in the same boat as me so we all learned how to English line/folk dance and I enjoyed it! I also had a Lincoln Douglas debate for the first time ever which I struggled through and didn’t quite enjoy but its now over!!
Hung out with my neighbors a lot still, their pretty cool 👌🏼 The other day my brother accidentally cut his leg with a hatchet while hiking up in the woods so my parents brought him into the ER to get it stitched and my neighbors came over and we had a midnight photo shoot with pit viper sunglasses, balloons, little ceaser pizza boxes and dart guns. The photos are beautiful as u can probably imagine 😂
I think that probably wraps up most of my big things I did, so now enjoy some pictures! With that crisp new iPhone vibe 🤩
these pictures all make me so happy 🤩
Anyways, that’s all for this post! I hope you enjoyed and how are you?! I’ve missed you all, update me on how you’ve been pleaseeee!!
How was your February? and march and April ;)) Favorite song atm? What kind of phone do you have? iPhone or android? Biggest thing you’re looking forward to this year?
Hey hey. How are u guys? I’m good 🙂 Well, relatively good. I’m not bad but I’m kind of done with this whole corona-quarantine-social-distancing thing. I get why we’re doing it, I would hate for more people to get corona and all the families with sick people are in my prayers. With that being said though, I believe that the media has over-exaggerated this and I don’t know if it’s as bad as they say. In all honesty, I don’t know. I don’t know how this is gonna end. I don’t know how it started. I don’t know what to think of the ordeal. I don’t know. But the good thing is that God knows. And He is holding us all in his hands. So I’m trusting in Him and hoping and praying and crossing my fingers that this pandemic ends soon. What are your thoughts on the COVID-19 ordeal?
Well anyways, another month passed by, and I’m just standing here. with my mouth wide open. Like “How?!?” March went so slowly yet so quickly! So many changes. So many new things!
I started my 3-month journey of being gluten free. As I explained in my last monthly update, (read it here) I have to go gluten free for three months. I started in march and so far, it’s not horrible. If you know me, ya know that I LOVE gluten. bread is one of the best inventions ever in my opinion. I love the stuff. But I found a decent brand of gluten free bread, and I’ve got good gf flour and Chick-fil-a has gluten free buns so we’re good 😉 The main time when I’m remorseful about being gluten free is when everyone else is eating gluten and I can’t. And then it gets depressing. But luckily it doesn’t happen all the time. So yeah, That’s the update. I’ve made some good gluten free cookies so maybe I’ll have to do a recipe post soon 🙂
We went to our first (and maybe last) garage/yard sale of the season. I’m big on thrifting so goodwill and garage sales are amazing. I love the deals you can find and it makes you feel so (ummmm idk the word) good? It makes me happy. The garage sale we went to was really good and I found some stuff I love!
I went to my friends for a weekend sleepover and it was SO FUN. We watched Jumanji 1+2, ate ice cream, stayed up late, talked for hours, ate food, went shopping, drank coffee, and tried on crazy and cute clothes. It was an amazing weekend and I’m so happy to have met these new friends 🙂 Smiles at u guys if ur reading this :)))
My protocol event for school happened. It was fun! We had a jewel heist dinner thing and it was a lot of fun. All of us girls got together and got ready and then we went and took picture (which sadly I cant share bc FACES and PRIVACY) and then we went to the dinner. It was super fun and I cant wait to do it again next year if we do CC!
Basically everything in my life was canceled and we are on quarantine. The thing I was most disappointed about it being canceled was my softball season. As of right now, it’s not canceled but they’re doing a evaluation on the 6th and we’re social distancing until the 30th at least so there’s like a .1 % chance of us actually getting to play the season :(( Another thing that I was disappointed about the cancelation was our co-op. We’re doing zoom meetings online but its a lot less fun and doesn’t really motivate me as much as in-person classes. But my next debate is next week so please pray for me 🙂 It’s against the electoral college and I am STRESSED.
My sister and I had a painting day, and we made a bunch of little inspirational watercolor card things to stick in letters and such. I loved how they turned out! We painted for about 3-4 hours and I ended up with about 40 cards (not counting my sisters) I think they’re quite adorable though, and I’ve now hung them on my wall 🙂
drank coffee, read books, and made collages. With quarantine and everything, I’ve had some spare time on my hands so I’ve been reading, drinking coffee, and making collages. Highly recommend all three of the above activities.
And to finish off this post, a meme and a quote:
And thats all for this post! Sorry it was kind of short, March was a pretty messed up month for me, but wasn’t it for us all? Hope you enjoyed and happy April! 2020 is officially 1/4 of the way done-thats terrifying and exciting? How was your march? How are u doing with COVID-19? I hope your all well, stay safe ❤️
Hey guys! How have u been? I can NOT believe January (aka the first month of 2020) is almost over?! Like how?! It seems like it flew by but also like time passed sooooooo slowly xD. 2020 is now 1/12 of the way over *wipes away tears* Just kidding, but it’s sad how quickly the years go by as you get older and I’m not even THAT old yet 😀 January was a good month for me, getting back in the groove of school ( ughhhh, more on that later), Trying to keep up in my goals and resolutions and just living life has kept me busy!
Things that happened in January:
∙Went to a Hotel with some good friends for their birthdays and it was a BLAST. I had so so much fun ahhhhh it was amazing :))
∙Drank lots of tea, like I mean LOTS. My mom got me 60 packs of pomegranate pizzaz tea for Christmas and so far I’ve only made a small dent in the pile of tea bags but I’ve drank a good 20 cups xD
∙ Found out what my Mom is having! Little backstory, we found out my Mom was pregnant in November and she’s due at the end of May! This is the last kid she wants to have (6 is a lot xD) and it’ll make us a family of 8, including our parents and the new baby!! So any who, we found out what she’s having!! Can u guess? Ok, enough suspense… My mom is having a:
BOY!!!!!!!!! Yay! I’m excited but I didn’t realize how much I wanted a girl until she told us 😂 Don’t get me wrong, I’m still super excited but baby girls wear dresses and bows in their hair annnddddd their just sooo cute but I’M EXCITED! My little sister REALLY wanted a girl and when she found out it was a boy she cried for a good 10 minutes 😂 Now she’s warmed up to the idea and she can’t wait to hold her baby brother!
∙ We got our first real snow of the winter and the first snow of the year! We ended up getting about 3 inches over about 4 days, but we were excited and extremely thankful for the snow we got bc none of our friends in town got much snow 😦 We went sledding and snowmobiling (until the snow mobile broke:(() and enjoyed the cold weather. Now we’re back to 47 degrees with rain and cloudy skies 😦
∙ Found a lot of good memes xD. I’m in a group chat with like 15 ppl from my co-op and basically all we do it send memes 😂 So every once in a while I have to go on Pinterest and stock up haha, its fun tho xD
∙Started school again. I’m now in second semester and the work load is pretty light as I’m just starting a couple new subjects! My two new subjects are economy and Drama, and I’m enjoying both of them so far! For Drama we’re reading The Taming of The Shrew which is by Shakespeare. At first I wasn’t really excited but I’m so far really enjoying it, My teacher is reading us the play and its in English and not all Shakespeare-y and then later in the year we’re gonna tackle the actual play, wish me luck lol 😂 For economics, we’re playing a game in market watch and investing in stock with fake money ( it’s a simulation) but yeah, I’m in first place out of my class so that’s exciting! Later this semester we’re doing an experiment where we find jobs we might like to do and places we would like to rent and basically we calculate how much it would cost for us to live when we’re 23 years old! I’m excited for that project, it sounds fun!
∙ Had a mental break down in the mall. Whew that was fun. But life ain’t all sunshine’s and rainbows kids xD I’ll spare u the deets but basically I’m self conscious about how I look and it’s hard shopping in stores where everything/a lot of things are made to fit a certain body type and that’s not ur body type. Love urself guys, it’s important.
∙ I signed up for a softball team! Now just crossing my fingers there’s enough girls to make a team for my age bracket. One of the perks of playing on this team is my sister gets to play with me and so do two of my awesome friends so we’re all super excited!
∙ got in a fight with a friend, didn’t talk for a while and then I called and apologized. I feel like I put 80% of the effort in that friendship tho so it’s tough. I don’t want to be petty but friendship is a two way road. I still love u if ur reading this 😂❤️
∙ ate a TON of good food. Food is actually life. Like without it we would die. And it’s a huge plus when that food is delicious.
∙ Did quite a bit of baking. I made mini chocolate chip scones, egg muffins and fried cheese sticks. Yum :)) Would u guys like to see a recipe post? I need to get into baking more, it’s so cool to be able to make something that makes ppl happy 😂👌
∙ read quite a few books, my goal for the year is 50 and I’m already 1/5 of the way there but it’s fineeee. I’ve been enjoying my books 🙂
∙ blogged pretty consistently. I mean, I kinda slacked in the middle of January but I think I got my five posts up! So pat myself on the back for not failing. Woo. That was unenthusiastic 😦 WOO WOO!!!!! That’s better 😀
Ok that’s the basics of what I did in January. Now enjoy some pictures with maybe a little context 😀
And that is all for this month in review!
Hope you enjoyed! How was your January? Did you do anything amazing? Anything awesome happening in February? My Birthdays in the end of February so I’m excited for that! Talk to me in the comments, I love hearing from you!
