Thankfulness.

Hello! Happy Thanksgiving! If I get this post done today, on Tuesday, we’ll be a couple days early. But still, you can kinda celebrate thanksgiving on any day in my opinion! I wanted to do one thanksgiving post at least, so I decided to do a thankful post, with two of my favorite things, photography, and highlighting my favs. I love highlighting the blessings in my life, it helps me feel so much more grateful and I really need to work on realizing how blessed I am! I feel like we all can forget how blessed we really are and doing posts like this really helps me out 🙂 So without much ado, lets get onto it!

  1. Jesus!

He died for us all and loves us more than we could ever imagine. Oh the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God comes from an awesome song called Reckless Love by Cory Asbury and I highly recommend it. I love Bible journaling and I’m so thankful to live in a country where I’m free to worship as I want too.

2. Food 😋

Ok, these go in no specific order alright??! Food is pretty grand tho 😉 This French toast from a local diner was delicious and not all burnt like the photo suggests haha! Thats just the editing 🙂 I’m thankful for food to feed and nourish my body. And also for taking aesthetic photos and visiting with friends over. One of my newest obsessions is going out to eat with friends! You get to eat good food and try new places, visit your friends, and just all around have a good time ❤

3. The sky and all it’s artwork 🤩

The sky is crazy amazing and I love how its always got a different look ❤ I’m so thankful for the joy it brings me on the daily with either the clouds, the sunrise or the sunset. It’s pretty dang awesome.

3. Friends and the strange plans they go along with.

Friends who make, bake and decorate 8 cakes with you simply because you want to decorate a cake. Also friends who have cake eating parties with you at 9:30 on a Sunday night because life is short and we’ve got to enjoy the little things ✌🏻

4. The Fam Bam

They’re always there for me and they know the real me. They drive me crazy at times but at the end of the day I’m thankful for them and their adventures 🙂

5. Small business owners who collaborated with you!!

I’m so excited for this one guys!! The photo above is from a collab I’ve got scheduled to go up a couple days after Thanksgiving and I’m so thankful for all the kind shop owners who willingly send me products to review and do a post on! It helps get their name out and mine name too and it’s such a fun thing!

6. Old Navy Dresses

Dresses from Old Navy make me so happy. Idk if everyone knows what Old Navy is but basically its just a clothing shop but they actually have really cute and modest dresses and I swear, 90% of my favorite dresses are from there! I recently got two more and I’m obsessed with both of them. First time wearing the black floral one, I found out they have this cute saying on the bottom of their tags and I love it 🥰

7. Quotes that say what you wanted to say but didn’t know how to word it.

I love quotes, I actually just love words? I have a Pinterest board with over 3000 pins of just quotes and words I like and it’s grand 💛 Thankful for people who write quotes that I end up loving. And this quote above, isn’t it great? Nightime just hits different and I love it!

8. My bed and my room and my house.

I’m blessed with my own room and I absolutely love it! It’s where I got to get away and get my alone time and some people may think I’m there too much but it’s really where I’m most at home. I love it.

9. I have no picture but Brenda, my dear car, is a HUGE blessing.

I’v almost got her paid off which is extremely exciting and im thrilled!! She’s always there for me and I rely on her to get me to so many places. I can’t wait for future adventures with her 🥰

10. Thrifting!!

I got these bad boys for 20 bucks last week or a couple weeks ago and I’m in love. I’m in love with a lotta things ok 😂 Anyways, Goodwill is and will forever be one of my favorite places to shop, everything is cheaper, there’s a great variety and its not fast fashion 👌🏼 Being able to thrift is a big blessing!

Anyways! Thats 10 of some of the things im most thankful for ❤ Ofc there’s lots more but thats it for the post today! Happy Thanksgiving! I hope your guys’ days are grand and if you feel like commenting, pls do! I’d love to chat 💛

What are three of your biggest blessings? Fav thanksgiving food? Mashed or scalloped potatoes? Ham or Turkey? I love ham more 🙂

Utah roadtrip 2021 | Photo journal

Hey lovelies! How are y’all?? I’m grand 🙂 Um so I haven’t posted in foreverrrr but I have exciting news, I went on a road trip to Utah! I’ve always thought Utah looked like a really cool place and so while looking for a destination for a family road trip, I suggested Utah and my parents agreed! I also knocked a couple other states of my list of states I wanted to visit so that was thrilling 🙂

We went to Idaho, Utah, Nevada and even Arizona! AZ was wonderful, I was there for about 2 whole minutes while I took a picture with the state sign and then we turned around and drove over the state line haha! But I got to cross it off my list and now I can say I’ve been there 🤩 Anyways, I might add a little bit of commentary along with these pictures but I’ve got two batches of clothes to fold so I just wanted to hop on and do a little photo journal of my trip!

**All photos taken on my iPhone 11 and edited with free vsco filters or Lightroom presets 🙂

ALSO: saddest thing ever for my little photographer heart. I dropped my phone in Utah right as we were getting into Idaho and my phone camera broke 😭 Now all my photos in direct sunlight with the back camera have a huge glare. Quite sad. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon and its not too expensive 🤞🏼

The arches! This was such a cool park to see 🤩

all these pictures above were taken in Idaho except for the cartwheel one, that one was from the bonneville salt flats 🙂 Btw, highly recommend the salt flats if you like taking pictures, it was SO pretty!

of course I had to get coffee in Utah haha 😉 Not a ton of coffee shops though which was quite sad but I tried swig which was pretty good!

Anyways, that’s all for this post! I’ve got a super fun collab coming up, ft. some really cool socks I’m excited to show you guys 🤭 Also, i’m now addicted to funky socks, they’re the best haha!

what was your favorite picture? What is your favorite state? How many states have you been to? Ever went on a road trip? Comment down below, id love to chat! 💓🌸

Moments: parts 2 and 3 *sips iced coffee*

Hey hey lovelies! How are you? I’m back! First off, I’m sorry I kinda just dropped off the face of the earth for a bit there, I got my license and a lot more which I’ll go into more detail on in this post but my life got real busy and I just didn’t have time to type a post. Blogging is something I really love but I didn’t want to force myself to write so just kinda was waiting for a little break so I could get a post up on my own time ya know?

So this is my life update from February and March! My life has been great, I’m living the dream and enjoying it a lot 🤩 Still have had my ups and downs but that’s life. Some big things that happened:

  • I got my license!!!! and turned a year older ahhh good job meee 😂
  • I bought a car! I have car payments which is INSANELY stressful and I don’t recommend but I’ve payed off 60% of my dear ‘Brenda’ so thats thrilling. Would y’all like an introduction post where I show u my car and give you a little tour of her? And yes, I’m one of those weirdos who named her car and refers to it as a person basically. It’s fine though, im cool. promise. 😉
  • I played a season of slow pitch softball for our local high school! It was crazy and many new experiences but I did enjoy it. I did so many big girl things like drove myself to my first few games, got on the bus which i’ve never done before because i’m homeschooled, and just overall stepped out of my comfort zone.
  • I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone a lot these past few months so proud of myself for that. Kinda like the last highlight but I’ve went to dr. appointments by myself, made appointments, and one day I even drove into the sketchy city to go get my oil changed. Oh my, that was an experience. Since we bought my car at a dealership I had free servicing there and I needed my oil changed so I made an appointment there for 7:50 in the morning. Got up, dragged my sister with me because I didn’t wanna go alone and drove an hour to get there. Then I’m a dumb little teenager and didn’t know what to do when I got to the car dealership so I felt a little stupid but I fumbled my way through it with my sweet sister by my side and eventually left the dealership around 10 after getting my oil changed and acquiring some new license plates. Ah I’m so grown *pats myself on the back*
  • Lovely lovely news, I fell on my butt and fractured my tailbone. This wasn’t my first rodeo, I’m so clumsy and I’ve fallen and hurt my tailbone before but this time I actually got an x-ray and yeah, fractured tailbone it is. It doesn’t hurt much except when I sit at hard benches for long amounts of time.
  • Did some jobs for friends and family and got some money to pay off Brenda! I construction cleaned 12 4-plexes with some friends and oof, that took a while. It was enjoyable kind of though and I made money 🤪
  • I bought a phone! I got an iPhone 11 so please be amazed with the quality, I sure am. I love it very much and yeah, it’s pretty awesome.
  • School’s crusin on. We start summer break on May 6th and I couldn’t be more excited! Last week we had a protocol event which is basically like a dance and we did a semi formal barn dance type event and it was so fun! I’m so bad at dancing but luckily everyone else was in the same boat as me so we all learned how to English line/folk dance and I enjoyed it! I also had a Lincoln Douglas debate for the first time ever which I struggled through and didn’t quite enjoy but its now over!!
  • Hung out with my neighbors a lot still, their pretty cool 👌🏼 The other day my brother accidentally cut his leg with a hatchet while hiking up in the woods so my parents brought him into the ER to get it stitched and my neighbors came over and we had a midnight photo shoot with pit viper sunglasses, balloons, little ceaser pizza boxes and dart guns. The photos are beautiful as u can probably imagine 😂

I think that probably wraps up most of my big things I did, so now enjoy some pictures! With that crisp new iPhone vibe 🤩

these pictures all make me so happy 🤩

Anyways, that’s all for this post! I hope you enjoyed and how are you?! I’ve missed you all, update me on how you’ve been pleaseeee!!

How was your February? and march and April ;)) Favorite song atm? What kind of phone do you have? iPhone or android? Biggest thing you’re looking forward to this year?

2020: a positive review *cue the happy tears*

Hello lovelies! Well the time has come. This year, the wonderful, wonderful year of 2020 is closing. From the time I’m writing this, at 1:22 on December 29th, there are only 2 days, 2 hours, 36 minutes and 13 seconds until 2021. This year flew by, but also crawled. It had it’s good things and it’s bad things. I’m sure we can all agree, a lot of bad happened. But we’re probably all familiar with the struggles and issues of the world this year so instead of recounting and recap-ing all that, I’m going to focus on the good. Highlight it in the post so that if you need it, hopefully this can be a pick-me-up for you! Without further ado, let’s get onto the good of 2020!!

Here’s a quote to inspire you and if I could tell you one thing, right now, looking forward at 2021, this is it.

Note to self: None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Eat the delicious food. Walk in the sunshine. Jump in the ocean. Say the truth that you’re carrying in your heart like a hidden treasure. Be silly. Be kind. Be weird. There’s no time for anything else.

Also while reading this post I recommend turning on some good chill tunes, it increases the good vibes 🙂 This playlist is one I’d recommend!

  • In the beginning of the year, we went to a hotel with some of my friends to celebrate their birthday and to this day, it was one of my favorite trips of the year! We haven’t been able to see these friends a lot this year because we’ve been really busy but it’s always a blast seeing them and I hope to see them soon!
  • I got my permit and successfully passed both my driving exams so I’m able to get my permit as soon as I reach the legal age here which is THRILLING. Me and my sister are already planning shopping trips and everything ❤️
  • In June, my baby brother was born and what a joy he is! He’s the sweetest, cutest little baby and on the daily I realize how amazing this life is and how much impact each person has on our lives. My baby brother is so little still and even so, I can NOT imagine life with out him.
  • My great grandma got to come out and is staying nearby with my grandparents for a while which I think is wonderful! She’s an amazing grandmother and I hadn’t been able to see her for over a year which isn’t a longggg time but still feels like it. I also got to see my great aunt when she came out so that was exciting because I love them both so much!
  • I was able to go through confirmation at my church which was amazing. It was one of the highlights of my summer and I’m so glad I was able to go through the 2 week classes. I met and got to know some great people, as well as learning more about our Lord, Jesus. So that is a huge blessing.
  • I feel like I spread my wings, and grew a lot, not so much physically because I’m still pretty short but more mentally and in more than one way. I’ve grown in my relationship with God, I’ve became more independent and brave I feel like and as far as my mental health, it’s not amazing 24/7 but I’m happy with where I’m at right now.
  • I’ve met some new friends and grown in my relationships with other friends who I’ve known for a while. This is a huge thing for me as my friends are amazing people who really are there for me whenever and I’m so so so so so so thankful for them all!
  • Last but certainly not least, my blog. This year was a crazy ride and having my blog to express my self and keep me busy while staying home and staying un-busy has been wonderful! I’ve “met” so many amazing people through the blogosphere and it’s a beautiful thing to be able to connect over the internet. My blogging journey isn’t anything big so far but im very excited to see where this takes me in the coming year!

Now for a little bit of happy pictures I’ve taken this year ❤

and a bit more 😉

And that wraps up my 2020. This year had ups and downs, rough times and good times, and some people came into my life and some left. Ok now I’m done the my attempt at a poetic summary of my year but here it is simply. It wasn’t a great year, but I’m choosing to highlight the joys. I hope you can find the joys of 2020 for you, in your life, and to end of this post, I wish you the happiest new year!!

Thanks for reading, it means the most ❤

How was your 2020? What were some of the highlights of your year? Comment down below and let me know, I’d love to chat about what made you happy this year 💛
